In one instalment featuring Christopher Reeve, Superman relinquishes his powers, opting for an ordinary life with Lois Lane. Lois Lane entertained suspicion that Clark Kent and Superman actually are one and the same. It transpires she was right, his secret identity unveiled to Lois. Three sinister people from Krypton menace planet earth. Superman will somehow regain his forfeited powers using a green crystal that was still intact. Superman will thwart the adversaries that had been in incarceration in something known as the Phantom Zone.
In another instalment with Reeve, Superman is exposed to a substance reminiscent to Kryptonite. This entails a sinister Superman emerging. However, the inherent benign Superman will come forth. Hence, a clash between the good Superman and evil one will ensue. The good vanquishes the evil part. In the meantime, a computer has been constructed. Superman will resort efforts to thwart the computer.
